What We Do

The Global Microfinance Foundation acts as a source of interest-free capital to entrepreneurs and small-business owners from all over the world.  To facilitate this, we partner with another non-profit organization called Kiva that allows us to have a local presence in countries around the world.  Loans are made on a case-by-case basis and are subject to review by the entirety of the GMF.  We strive to make loans that will lead to long-term economic stability for our clientele and also provide opportunities to oppressed or undervalued social groups.

If you go out into the real world, you cannot miss seeing that the poor are poor not because they are untrained or illiterate but because they cannot retain the returns of their labor. They have no control over capital, and it is the ability to control capital that gives people the power to rise out of poverty.
— Muhammad Yunus (2006 Nobel Peace Laureate)

We hope to continue expanding into different regions of the globe to improve the lives of families around the world with your help.
